A (potential) Leap in Carbon Removal

At Rockburst Technologies, we are cautiously optimistic about the potential of our Transcritical CO2 Pulverization technology. Preliminary estimates suggest that by 2050, this technology could contribute to the removal of approximately 3 billion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, given a market penetration of about 25%. While these figures are promising, we recognize that they are early estimates and are committed to continuous research and development to refine these projections.

Our technology utilizes CO2 in a pressurized environment to break mining ore, which is projected to reduce energy consumption significantly compared to traditional mining methods. Additionally, this method facilitates carbon mineralization, potentially locking carbon in mining tailings. We are mindful of the challenges ahead and the rigorous testing and validation required. As we advance our experiments with various mineral ores and operational parameters, we remain focused on the feasibility and scalability of this technology in contributing to sustainable mining practices.
