Copper for Tomorrow

Without copper, the world will simply not achieve net zero goals by 2050. We are delighted to announce that Rockburst has been invited to participate in Australia's Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) - Copper for Tomorrow that aims to contribute to the world’s energy transition to renewable technologies. This particular CRC will be applying for multi-year funding in 2023 and we will be joining a multi-party consortium that will seek to:

"Accelerate the efforts of the Australian copper industry, to position and incentivize the industry to double the copper production by 2050 and make ESG a value driver".

This ambitious initiative will seek to research, develop and support technologies that:

  • dramatically improve copper mining and production

  • create processes that move copper production towards zero emissions, waste, and footprint

  • incorporate evolving ESG factors into business processes.
